Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Veterinary Discounts
Purpose:
To provide guidelines for client discounts at Beyond Pets Animal Clinic. Discounts are at the veterinarian’s discretion based on client patronage. Veterinarians must run reports to ensure they stay within limits. No approval is needed if criteria and limits are followed.
Discount Structure:
- Less than 1 Year: $100 discount
- 1 Year: $500 discount
- 2-4 Years: $1,000 discount
- 5-10 Years: $2,000 discount
- 10+ Years: $2,500 discount
Guidelines:
- Discounts are quarterly, running every three months starting in January.
- A veterinarian’s years of service are based on their start date in the clinic system.
- Veterinarians must run reports to ensure they do not exceed discount limits.
- All discounts must be documented in the client’s account.
- Please contact Jimmy or Phil Good if current hospital charges should be reevaluated or better
Compliance:
- The clinic manager will conduct quarterly audits to ensure compliance.
- Any misuse will be reviewed, and corrective action may be taken.
